sonar recording is the proprietary binary format used by Horizon. Compact, designed for long sessions without filling drives. Each ping carries timestamp, GPS, depth, water temp and detected echoes. The cloud viewer reads it natively — no conversion needed.
Right now the viewer reads recordings only. If your sonar exports Horizon sonar recordings, you're good. Other formats are on the roadmap.
