Fishing sonars · cloud recording

Every ping your sonar takes, kept in the cloud.

Modern fishing sonars record kilometres of data every session: bathymetry, fish echoes, water temperature, GPS trail. Horizon Sonar ships that data to the cloud the moment you get home, archives it, lets you revisit it from any device, and share the spot that produced with a single link.

Horizon Sonar viewer showing a recorded fishing session with bathymetry, fish echoes and GPS trail
Why bother

A sonar remembers. You don't, always.

A fishing sonar tells you what's underneath in real time. But once the recording sits forgotten on the SD card and gets overwritten, that knowledge is gone. Horizon Sonar fixes that.

Lake-bed maps

Each session adds detail to the lake bathymetry. After three sessions you know the venue better than most locals.

Date-stamped spots

When a 12 kg carp shows up on the viewer, it's pinned to an exact GPS, depth and timestamp. Next time you go straight to it.

Drop-and-forget upload

Drag the recording onto the browser, done. No software to install, no SD card to lose, no hard drive that fills up.

Share the trail

Send a WhatsApp link. The recipient sees your recording in their browser, no account needed. Or sell it on the marketplace.

How it works

Sonar to cloud in three steps.

Record with your sonar

Every Horizon sonar (Spectra, Crystal, Mirror) records automatically in our format. The file stays on the SD until you get home.

Upload to Horizon

Open horizon.nuntius.club, drag the recording onto the browser and the system processes it. Nothing to install.

Come back anytime

Web viewer with bathymetry, GPS trail, fish echoes, temperature. Filter by lake, date, depth. Share or sell what you want.

FAQ

Fishing sonars and Horizon, in short.

What is a fishing sonar?

A fishing sonar (fishfinder) is a transducer that fires ultrasonic pulses underwater and measures the echo. The return time becomes distance; the device draws depth, fish, vegetation and thermoclines on screen.

In carp fishing the sonar lives on a baitboat or kayak — the boat sweeps the lake and the sonar logs every ping with GPS.

What format do Horizon sonars use?

All Horizon sonars (Spectra, Crystal, Mirror) record in sonar recording. A compact format designed to fit many hours of pinging without filling drives. Each row carries timestamp, GPS, depth, water temp and detected echoes.

Can I open sonar recordings without subscribing?

First 30 days are free, no card. Upload, view, download anything. After that €2/month or €19.99/year. Cancel and your recordings stay yours — one-click download.

Can I share a recording with someone without an account?

Yes. Each recording has an optional public link. The visitor sees bathymetry and GPS trail from their browser, no signup needed. You pick which recordings are public and which stay private.

How is this different from the manufacturer's app?

The app that ships with the sonar is built for live viewing while you fish. Horizon is the archive of your entire season — re-open last year's sessions, compare the same bank in April vs September, never rely on an SD card or local disk again.
